Verizon's Rapidly Expanding FiOS TV To Carry Big Ten Network
Verizon, which has become the nation's ninth-largest video distributor in less than three years, and Big Ten Network today announced that Verizon will make Big Ten Network available in both standard definition and high definition. Big Ten Network has already joined Verizon's most widely available level of service in the Ft. Wayne, Ind., area and will launch during the next few months, region by region, in all additional areas where FiOS TV is available. Read More >>

The 2008 Beijing Olympics are quickly approaching and head coach Erica Walsh and alumni Ali Krieger (2003-06) and Erin McLeod (2004-05) are gearing up for their trip to China. On the U-20 stage current Nittany Lions' junior Alyssa Naeher (Seymour, Conn.), freshman Christine Nairn (Bowie, Md.) and freshman Lexi Marton (Aurora, Ontario) just wrapped up the 2008 CONCACAF Tournament with Marton and her Canadian teammates taking home the trophy. As the summer gets into full swing a few of the current Penn State women's soccer players are in Puebla, Mexico competing for their homelands rather than their schools for a chance at a trip to Chile for the FIFA Women's U-20 World Cup in November. On the other side of the world head coach Erica Walsh and former standout Erin McLeod (2004-05) are helping lead their respective squads to what looks like a meeting in the championship game of the Peace Queen Cup in South Korea.
