UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State cross country’s Tanner Piotrowski and Claire Daniels were named the Nittany Lions’ recipients of the Big Ten’s Sportsmanship Award, the conference announced Thursday.
Both Piotrowski and Daniels proved valuable to the Penn State squad as excellent teammates, supporting their groups all the way through the season, and beyond.
The duo join Florence Caron and Brian DiCola as conference postseason honorees. Caron collected First Team All-Big Ten recognition for her fifth-overall finish at the Big Ten Championships last Friday. DiCola posted a Second Team result, coming in 20th overall. Penn State’s groups will now move on to NCAA competition, as they host the 2024 NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships at home in Happy Valley on Friday, November 15.
