UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The No. 8 Penn State women's ice hockey team wraps up their six-game road stand with a two-game series at Robert Morris beginning on Friday, January 31 at 3 p.m.

- Penn State is facing the Colonials for the 45th and 46th times in program history.
- The Colonials currently lead the series 24-12-8.
- The last time the two teams faced each other came on November 23, 2024 where the Nittany Lions defeated Robert Morris 4-0.
SCOUTING THE COLONIALS
- Robert Morris enters the series with an 8-17-3 overall record and a 2-10-2 record in AHA play.
- They are coming off a pair of losses to Mercyhurst on January 24-25 by scores of 7-0 and 6-0.

DESA AND JANECKE COLLECT WEEKLY AWARDS
- Atlantic Hockey America named Penn State women’s ice hockey goalie Katie DeSa Goaltender of the Week and junior Tessa Janecke Forward of the Week on Monday afternoon.
- DeSa picked up another pair of wins in net this week for the Nittany Lions. She cap- tured her seventh shutout win of the season, which is tied for second most in a single season in program history. In the series opener against Lindenwood, she conceded only one goal, then blanked them in game two. She stopped 46 shots in the series and tallied a save percentage of .979.
- With a 20-4-0 record this season, DeSa sits second in program history for most wins by a goalie in a single season. The Pawcatuck, Conn. native sits second in the nation in wins (20), third in goals against average (1.33) and eighth in save percentage of .938. This is DeSa’s seventh weekly honor of the year and 10th weekly honor of her career.
- Janecke had a four-point weekend as she recorded one goal and three assists in the series at Lindenwood. She tallied multiple points in both games with a two-assist out- ing in Friday's game and a one goal, one assist showing on Saturday.
- Janecke's goal on Saturday marked her as the Penn State hockey (men's and women's) all-time leader in career points with 141. The Orangeville, Ill. native sits seventh in the nation in points this season with 42 on 18 goals and 24 assists.
ONE POINT AWAY FROM HISTORY
- Lyndie Lobdell needs just one point to become the all-time points leader among defensemen at Penn State.
- Currently, she and Izzy Heminger share the lead with 80 points.
- Lobdell currently has 18 goals and 62 assists in her five seasons as a Nittany Lion.
SITTING IN THE TOP 10
- For just the second time in program history, the Nittany Lions sit eighth in the nation in both the USCHO.com and USA Hockey polls.
- The last time the Nittany Lions sat this high in the standings was back during the 2021-22 season.
JANECKE THE G.O.A.T.
- Tessa Janecke etched her name in the Penn State hockey record book as she becamethe program leader men's and women's) in career points following their 4-0 shutout win over Lindenwood on January 25.
- Janecke has 142 career points which is twopoints ahead of the the previous record holder Nate Sucese who had 140.
- The Orangeville, Ill. native's points come off57 goals and 85 assists through her threeyears as a Nittany Lion.
THE FRESHMAN CONNECTION
- Penn State's freshman class recorded seven of the teams 17 points at Lindenwood this past week.
- Leading the way was McKenna Walsh who has a three point week with one goal and two assists.
- Grace Outwater recorded her second short-handed goal of the year while Nicole Hall tallied two points on one goal and one assist.
- Outwater sits second in the nation among freshman in points and first in goals among freshman with 23 points on 14 goals and nine assists.
