UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Big Ten Conference announced single-play and double-play opponents Tuesday for the 2025-26 Penn State men's basketball season. The Nittany Lions will face 14 single-play opponents and three double-play opponents in the 20-game Big Ten men's basketball slate.
Penn State will play both home and away games against Michigan, Ohio State and Rutgers. Illinois, Iowa, Michigan State, Minnesota, UCLA, USC and Wisconsin will each visit Happy Valley as Penn State's home-only opponents. Away games for single-play opponents send Penn State to Indiana, Maryland, Nebraska, Northwestern, Oregon, Purdue and Washington.
Second-year conference members UCLA and USC will make their first-ever trips to Happy Valley, while Penn State will visit Oregon and Washington for the first time in program history.
Dates, television network assignments and tipoff times for the Big Ten contests will be announced later this year.
Penn State will enter its third season under Peter and Ann Tombros Endowed Head Coach Mike Rhoades in 2025-26. Rhoades has laid a strong foundation during his first two seasons, and welcomes back a core group of returnees and the highest-ranked recruiting class in program history for the 2025-26 season. Rhoades orchestrated the highest-scoring offense in Penn State history in 2024-25 as the Nittany Lions set a single-season program record with 79.1 points per game during his second season at the helm.
