The graduation of all four secondary starters from 2011 and a couple of injuries provided Jeff Cully with an opportunity to see critical repetitions during the first several practices last spring. But, then the injury bug hit Cully, as he suffered a broken thumb and did not play in the Blue-White game. He will resume his bid for time in the secondary rotation when training camp opens in August. A civil engineering student, he has a cumulative grade-point average above 3.0 and is on schedule to graduate in May. Cully is among 16 returning Nittany Lions from Western Pennsylvania.
