An All-State Selection in both basketball and lacrosse, Harro led New Fairfield High School to a 20-5 record in basketball, it[apos]s best record in school history. He became the first basketball player in the school[apos]s history to receive All-State honors as he led his team to the school[apos]s first-ever State Class M and South-West Connecticut Conference Semi-Final playoff games. He was selected a 2009 Connecticut All State, 2009 Connecticut High School Coaches Association All-Star and 2009 All South-West Conference first team player. Harro was the second leading scorer in the area averaging 18.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists and1.9 steals per game, and draining 41 3-pointers in the season. He tallyied 450 points as a senior. A multi-talented athlete, Harro also lettered in lacrosse and soccer earning Connecticut All-State and Connecticut High School Coaches Association All-Star lacrosse distinction in 2009. He was a mid-fielder for the school[apos]s State Champion lacrosse team, which went 23-0 in 2008. Harro was also elected to school[apos]s honor roll all four years of high school and achieved a 3.57 GPA in high school. The son of Rich and Cindy Harro, both Penn State graduates, his father, Rich, played the saxophone in the Penn State Blue Band and was a Lion Ambassador while earning degrees in Chemistry, Biochemistry and an MBA from Penn State. His mother, Cindy, graduated from Penn State with a Computer Science degree and was also a Lion Ambassador. He has a younger brother, Troy, age 11.
