2007-08: After sitting out the previous year for transferring within the conference, Josh had an immediate impact on the Nittany Lion diving squad winning multiple events and earning an NCAA Zone A qualifying score. Meet-by-Meet Highlights: Won the one and three-meter springboard diving events at the West Virginia Dual Meet...placed fourth in the one-meter springboard, placed first in the three-meter springboard recording the first NCAA Zone A qualifying score of the year at the dual meet...finished second on the three-meter springboard at the Princeton Big Al Invitational...scored points in the Big Ten Championships with a 16th place finish on the three-meter springboard...advanced to the finals of the NCAA Zone A meet on the three-meter springboard with an eighth place finish
2006-07: Sat out the year at Penn State after transferring within the same conference.
At Wisconsin:
Josh was a member of the diving team at Wisconsin for two years. He placed in the top 25 on all three boards during both his freshman and sophomore years at the Big Ten Championships and earned Big Ten Diver of the Week honors twice.
High School:
Josh earned four varsity letters at Ridley High School in Folsom, Pa. and as a senior was named the Daily Times[apos] Aquatic Athlete of the Year. He was a three-time qualifier for the Class 3A state meet and won state championships as both a junior and senior. He also placed fourth in the state as a sophomore and also won the district championship as a senior. Additionally, he was a two-time Junior National Qualifier from 2003-04.
Personal:
Josh was born on November 12, 1985 in Chester, Pa. He is the son of Kevin and Patricia Bonner and he has a twin brother, Justin, who is also a member of the diving team. He also has a younger brother, Shane. He is majoring in wildlife and fisheries science and lists beach volleyball and playing the guitar as hobbies.
