Penn State Career
2006-07 Season - Junior:
Picked up a 6-3, 6-0 victory at No. 6 in his first outing as a junior in Penn State[apos]s 7-0 victory against Lehigh...Knocked off Will Biddle of Bloomsburg (6-0, 6-2) at No. 4 to help the Nittany Lions notch a 7-0 shutout...Scored a straight-set victory against Bucknell[apos]s Daniel Bednerak (6-3, 6-4)...Concluded the season with a 3-0 record in singles...Notched a 5-1 record in doubles play...Scored three straight victories while paired with Ryan Gormley at the No. 2 and 3 spots against Colgate, St. Bonaventure and St. John[apos]s...While paired with Guillaume St-Maurice, scored a crucial 8-4 victory against Christian Tempke of No. 38 Northwestern to help seal the doubles point in the Nittany Lions[apos] 4-3 victory in Evanston...Finished 2-1 while paired with St-Maurice...Named to the Academic All-Big Ten list for the second consecutive year.
2005-06 Season - Sophomore:
Posted a singles record of 3-2 (2-2 Big Ten) to begin his sophomore campaign...Combined with Adam Slagter to go 2-0 in doubles play in the fall...Competed at the Big Ten Indoor Individual Championships to close out the fall season, recording one win in the consolation bracket...Picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win vs. Bloomsburg and combined with Ryan Berger for an 8-0 doubles win vs. St. Bonaventure in Penn State[apos]s opening spring matches...Picked up another two-set singles win vs. Lafayette, en route to Penn State[apos]s fifth-straight victory and fourth 7-0 shutout...Went 3-0 on the Lions[apos] annual spring trip to Florida, picking up singles wins vs. Robert Morris and St. Peter[apos]s College and combined with Malcolm Scatliffe for a doubles victory vs. St. Peter[apos]s ...Received the Iron Man award at the April 24 team banquet for his dedication to Penn State tennis...Finished his sophomore campaign with an overall record of 8-2, including a stellar dual-match mark of 5-0...Was named to the Dean[apos]s List...Received Academic All-Big Ten honors.
2004-05 Season - Freshman:
Had a solid rookie campaign, seeing spot-starting action during dual matches and earning a letter in his first year with the Nittany Lions...Went 6-2 overall including a 4-1 mark in duals...Went 3-1 at No. 6 singles and 1-0 at No. 5 singles...Had a solid doubles season as well, going 13-9 overall...Went 11-8 with Michael James at No. 3 doubles.
Junior Career:
In his final four years as a starter, Edina went 99-9 in duals...Started as an eighth grader...Edina placed third in the state twice and claimed the state crown three times...Was a four-time All-Conference selection and won the Minnesota state singles title as a senior...Had a 105-7 career singles record over the last four years of his career, including a 33-0 mark as a senior.
