2024 • SENIOR SEASON
Awards: Named Penn State’s recipient of the Big Ten Softball Sportsmanship Award… Landed Academic All-Big Ten honors in the postseason.
Season: Had the most statistically significant season of her career, setting single-season career highs in multiple statistical categories… Played in a career-best 27 games, making 20 starts predominately at first base… Had career seasons in at-bats (44), runs scored (five), hits (seven), total bases (12), RBI (four) and walks drawn (five), … Added her first career triple and home run this season… Registered 100 putouts and four assists at the first base slot.
vs. Morgan State (2/24): Logged the first triple of her collegiate career, adding an RBI in the win over the Bears. Binghamton (3/17): Entered the game as a pinch hitter, cranking the first home run of her college softball career with a two-run shot to left center. Maryland (3/29): Contributed a season-best 10 putouts in her return to the starting first base position. NCAA Regional vs. UAlbany (5/18): Notched the first hit of her postseason career in the win over the Great Danes, PSU’s first NCAA Tournament victory since 2011.
2023 • JUNIOR SEASON
Awards: Collected Academic All-Big Ten accolades.
Season: Played in seven games for the Blue & White, notching career-best marks in batting average (.200), RBI (two), slugging percentage (.400)…Cranked an RBI double and added a sac fly.
vs. Canisius (3/18): Cranked an RBI double for her first hit of the season. Big Ten Tournament vs. Indiana (5/11): Entered the game as a pinch hitter and launched a sac fly to tie the game in the top of the fifth inning.
2022 • SOPHOMORE SEASON
Awards: Earned Academic All-Big Ten honors.
Season: Appeared in 18 games and started one…Career highs in at-bats and hits.
vs. FIU (2/18): Drew a walk. vs. Cleveland State (2/18): Completed one putout in Nittany Lion win. vs. Kennesaw St. (2/26): Earned a hit. vs. Maryland (3/26): First career double…Drove in first career RBI.
2021 • FRESHMAN SEASON
Awards: Named NFCA Easton All-America Scholar-Athlete.
Season: Made eight appearances with one start at first base...Drew three walks and one hit-by-pitch for .400 on-base percentage.
vs. Purdue (2/27): Made Penn State debut as pinch hitter in game one of doubleheader...Drew a walk. Ohio State (4/3): Started first career game at first base...Drew a walk. Rutgers (4/10): Subbed in as pinch hitter in sixth inning...Helped Nittany Lions to comeback victory by drawing nine-pitch full-count walk.
HIGH SCHOOL
Competed in three sports; softball, basketball and field hockey at The Montclair Kimberley Academy (MKA) in Montclair, New Jersey… Named First Team All-Conference in three-straight seasons from 2017 to 2019… Earned Second Team All-County honors as freshman in 2017… Followed up sophomore year with First Team All-County accolades in 2018… Named the MKA Best Offensive Player in 2017 and Team MVP in 2019… Was the recipient of the MKA Klein Award in 2017 and 2018 as the top female athlete in her grade who exhibits leadership, academic and athletic skills… Earned the MKA Fall Sports Team Captain Award in 2019… Played four years of field hockey and three years of basketball… Helped the Cougars to back-to-back Prep B Field Hockey Championship titles in 2017 and 2018… Earned Second-Team All-Conference recognition in field hockey twice in 2016 and 2017... PERSONAL
Born in Roseland, New Jersey, in the winter of 2022, Amanda Mack is the daughter of Elena and Anthony Mack… She has one younger brother, named Anthony, who goes by AJ… Mack is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree in the Penn State Smeal College of Business, studying Management Information Systems... Mack will graduate in the spring of 2024 with her bachelor’s degree and begin a career in banking and sports finance at Wells Fargo at the conclusion of the season.
