2007-08 SEASON - JUNIOR: Ended her junior campaign going 12-16 overall and 3-4 in fall play...Played 13 three-set matches winning five...Appeared primarily at the No. 3 position for the Nittany Lions, but went 5-5 in play at No. 2 singles...Went 3-7 in Big Ten play...Picked up a 6-4, 6-2 win over Wisconsin[apos]s Jessica Seyferth helping Penn State defeat then #74 Wisconsin, 4-3...Went 7-3 in singles at one point during the spring season...Earned an exciting three-set win against then #59 Michigan State[apos]s Manon Noe...Finished the season leading Iowa[apos]s Alexis Dorr in a three-set match at the Big Ten tournament.
2006-07 SEASON - SOPHOMORE: Finished with a 5-9 record in fall play...Had an exciting three-set win against Mary Wilson (Quinnipiac) in the ITA Regionals...Went 8-10 in the spring playing primarily at the No. 3 position...Finished 2-8 against Big Ten opponents...Picked up three-set wins against Syracuse (Catherine Zawadzki) and Marshall (Yulia Kashelkina)...Earned a point for the Nittany Lions in a tough 4-3 loss to #6 Minnesota with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Danielle Mosseau...In doubles play, finished with a 9-9 record...Had success with Jenny Shular in doubles action with a 3-0 spring record...The pairing had an exciting win against #32 Florida International[apos]s Shilla D[apos]Armas/Marijana Cutuk, 9-8 (7-4)...Earned Academic All-Big Ten honors.
2005-06 SEASON - FRESHMAN: Had a stellar freshman campaign, going 18-6 overall in singles competition, including an 8-3 mark versus Big Ten opponents...Went 4-0 at November[apos]s Penn State Fall Classic, posting two singles wins and two doubles wins...Won her first 12 of her first singles matches in spring competition...Played mostly at the No. 4 and 5 spots for the Nittany Lions, going 8-3 at No. 4 and 7-2 at No. 5...Also went 1-0 at the No. 3 position, posting a three-set win versus St. John[apos]s...Picked up a three-set win versus Minnesota at the Big Ten Tournament en route to a 4-3 Nittany Lion victory...In doubles play, combined with Sasha Abraham to go 5-4 at the No. 1 spot for the Lions...Posted 1-0 records with both Andreea Niculescu and Kristine Harclerode and went 1-1 with Jenny Shular...Combined with six teammates throughout the season to post a 13-14 overall doubles mark.
JUNIOR CAREER: Holzberg was ranked No. 1 in the USTA[apos]s New England 18s in 2005 and was ranked as high as No. 113 nationally in 16s...Member of the New England Zonal Team, as well as the Junior Federation Cup Team...Won the Connecticut State Open title...Member of the 2003 Connecticut High School State Championship squad.
