Repeated as an All-American, placing fourth at NCAA Championships … finished 14-2 on the season with both losses coming at NCAA Championships, including an 11-0 major decision to eventual champion Spencer Lee of Iowa, who captured the Hodge Trophy as the nation’s best collegiate wrestler … earned team Charles ‘Chick’ Sherwood Most Valuable Wrestler Award … went 4-2 in NCAA Championships, opening with three straight victories: 3-0 over Zurich Storm of Campbell; 2-1 over Liam Cronin of Nebraska; and 4-2 SV-1 over Brody Teske of Northern Iowa … after loss to Lee, came back to defeat Sam Latona of Virginia Tech, 5-4; then fell to Patrick McKee of Minnesota, 5-3, in the third place match … has an 83-33 career record … went 3-0 at the conference tournament to repeat as Mid-American Conference champion … named a Scholar All-American by the National Wrestling Coaches Association … earned Academic All-MAC honors for the fourth-consecutive year.

Posted a 20-10 record at 125 pounds as a sophomore … posted three wins by pin, and one each by technical fall and major decision … qualified for NCAA Championships (3/21-3/23), finishing 1-2 … opened the NCAA Championships with a 6-0 win over Gabe Townsell of Stanford, and fell 5-3 to Ronnie Bresser of Oregon State and then 7-4 to Alex Mackall of Iowa State … his 6-0 win over Townsell avenged an earlier 7-3 loss … went 2-1 to place second at the Mid-American Conference Championships (3/8), falling 5-2 to Michael McGee of Old Dominion in the title match … finished third at the Michigan State Open (11/3), finishing 2-2 … went 2-2 at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Inv. (11/30-12/1) … went 3-2 at the Midlands (12/29-12/30) … posted a 10-1 record in duals … lone loss came to Old Dominion’s McGee (1/4) … defeated Michigan State’s RayVon Foley, 7-5 (SV-1) in a dual (2/22) to avenge an earlier loss … four of his 10 losses came to wrestlers who eventually would earn All-America honors: Foley, Bresser, Sebastian Rivera of Northwestern and NCAA champion Spencer Lee of Iowa … earned Academic All-MAC honors.

Finished 18-18 at 125 pounds as a redshirt freshman in first season as a regular in the lineup … recorded one win by major decision and one by technical fall … went 2-2 at the Las Vegas Invitational (12/1-2) … finished 2-2 at the Midlands Championships (12/29-30) … went 3-2 to place third at the MAC Championships (3/3-4) … placed fourth at the Michigan State Open (11/5).
