NEW HAVEN, Conn.- The Penn State men's tennis team fell on the road to Yale. The squad fought tough, with many matches going into a third set, but ultimately fell 7-0.
DOUBLES
Playing at second doubles, Sam Bossem and Loren Byers dropped their match 6-1 to Renaud Lefebre and Krish Gupta. On court three, Reiya Hattori and Marcus Schoeman fell to Zhengqing Ji and Jason Shuler 6-2.
At the top spot, Charl Morgan and David Lindsay paired together to face Vignesh Gogineni and Edward Liao, but the match went unfinished with Yale leading 5-3 as the doubles point had already been clinched by the Bulldogs.
SINGLES
Byers battled on court one against Gogineni, taking his match to a third set, but ultimately fell 3-6, 7-5, 7-6(8). At the second spot, Morgan played tough, but dropped his match 6-4, 6-2 to Ji. On the third court, Sam Bossem fought strong, with his match going into a third set, but fell 3-6, 6-4, 7-6(10).
On court four, Schoeman took on Shuler, but dropped his match 6-3, 6-4. Hattori took the fifth spot, but fell 6-3, 6-2 to Liao. Playing on court six, Lindsay dropped his match 6-2, 6-1.
