Season: Collected 15 singles wins, including 11 in dual matches and three in Big Ten matches. Played at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3…Picked up 11 doubles wins, including 10 in dual matches, playing mostly at No. 1.
Match-By-Match: ITA All-Americans (10/1): Earned wins over SMU’s Antonio Muniz-Hildago (7-5, 7-6 (2)) and Texas Tech’s Piotr Pawlak (6-3, 6-0). ITA Atlantic Regionals (10/19): Collected wins against Richmond’s John Walsh (6-2, 7-6(1)) and St. Joseph’s Alejandro Asensi (0-6, 7-6(5), 6-3)…Paired with Miko Eala for a doubles win over Old Dominion’s Francois Le Tallec/Nicola Vidal. Delaware/Georgetown (1/22): Picked up a win over Delaware’s Alexandre Gluck (7-6 (2), 6-7 (3), 6-4) and another singles win against Georgetown’s Kieran Foster (6-4, 1-6, 6-1)…In doubles, paired with Malik Bhatnagar for wins against Delaware’s James Wilkinson/William Wibmer (6-4) and Georgetown’s Foster/Zamaan Moledina (6-1). Duquesne/Saint Francis (1/28): Earned a three-set win over Duquesne’s David Georgadze, 1-6, 6-4, 6-3…In doubles, recorded wins over Duquesne’s Georgadze/Tamirlan Teberikov (6-4) and Saint Francis’ Marc Fuste/Andrew Teixeira (7-6(2)). Drexel/Mount St. Mary’s (2/4): Collected a 2-6, 7-6 (5), 7-6 (5) win against Drexel’s Alan Jesudason…Picked up doubles wins over Drexel’s Jesudason/Alex Sousa (7-5) and Mount St. Mary’s Elliot Stevens/Giovanni Abriola (6-2). Villanova (2/5): Posted a 6-1 win in doubles over Josh Robinson/Noah Winton. Princeton (2/10): Notched an 0-6, 6-1, 6-4 win against Fnu Nidunjianzan. William & Mary (2/12): Registered a win over George Davis (7-6 (6), 7-6 (2))…Earned a doubles win against Davis/Bill Duo (6-1). St. John’s (2/22): Collected a 6-4, 6-2 win over Carl Gustafsson. Bryant (3/18): Gained a 5-7, 6-2, 10-8 win over Leonardo Mileikowsky…Picked up a 6-3 win against Diego Trejo/Diego Serra. Nebraska (4/2): Earned a win against Roni Hietaranta (3-6, 7-6 (6), 6-4). Indiana (4/22): Collected a 6-2, 6-4 win over Luka Vukovic. Purdue (4/23): Picked up a 6-4, 0-6, 6-3 win against Mujtaba Ali-Khan…Earned a win in doubles against Ali-Khan/Julen Morgan (7-5).
2021-22 (JUNIOR)
Earned a 12-7 record in dual matches during the spring season...Went 3-1 on court four...Clinched four straight matches for the Nittany Lions in singles, including against three Big Ten opponents...Tallied a point against then-ranked No. 17 Columbia with a 2-6, 7-6, 10-6 win at court 6...Partnered with Malik Bhatnagar to take down Illinois' #50 pairing, 6-2.
2020-21 (SOPHOMORE)
Ended the season with a 3-8 record in 11 singles matches...Concluded the 2020-21 season with a 0-5 record in doubles matches.
2019-20 (FRESHMAN)
Played all his matches on the first three courts...Earned a 6-6 overall record including a 2-1 record at the top lineup spot...Went 4-6 with five different partners in doubles...Spring season shortened due to COVID-19 pandemic.
PRIOR TO PENN STATE
Attended St. John’s College in South Africa before committing to Penn State...Achieved a career-high ITF ranking of 113 and an ATP singles ranking of 1238 in 2019...Played in the Junior Davis Cup for team South Africa...Selected to represent South Africa in the U14 boys’ team and also represented the country at the U16 and U18 Africa Junior Championships in 2015... Participated in the Confederation of African Tennis and ITA U14 circuit in Botswana, winning all four of the U14 boys’ titles.
