Men’s Tennis To Host No. 51 Purdue, No. 66 Indiana in Last Regular Season Matches

The Nittany Lions will welcome No. 51 Purdue on Friday at 10 a.m. and No. 66 Indiana on Sunday at 1 p.m. for Senior Day

University Park, Pa.- The Penn State men’s tennis team is set to host No. 51 Purdue on Friday, Apr. 18 at 10 a.m. and No. 66 Indiana on Sunday, Apr. 20 at 1 p.m. Sunday’s match will feature Senior Day and a free pizza giveaway for fans. Seniors Sam Bossem and Charl Morgan will be recognized for their athletic careers at Sunday’s ceremony.  

 

THE NITTANY LIONS 

Penn State holds a 12-13 record (0-11) entering into the last week of regular season play. For the fifth week in a row, graduate student Loren Byers holds an ITA ranking in the singles category, coming in at No. 53 this week. 

 

SCOUTING PURDUE 

The Boilermakers are ranked at No. 51 with an 11-9 record (3-8). On their roster, Aleksa Krivokapic is ranked at No. 65 in singles. Penn State holds a 21-17 lead historically over Purdue. 

 

EYEING INDIANA 

The No. 66 Hoosiers hold a 10-12 record (1-10). Indiana is set to face No. 3 Ohio State on Friday before facing the Nittany Lions on Sunday for Penn State’s Senior Day match. Historically, the Hoosiers lead the Nittany Lions 23-11 in all time matchups.
