Women’s Distance Medley Relays Team Sets School Record at Day Two of Penn Relays

Men’s and women’s track teams record three top-10 program marks

PHILADELPHIA – The Penn State men’s and women’s track and field teams finished day two of the Penn Relays with a new school record in the women’s distance medley relay, three finishes that rank top-10 in program history and four personal-best marks.  

TOP PERFORMANCES  

Penn State’s women’s distance medley relay team of Zoey Goldstein, Maddie Ullom, Kileigh Kane and Allison Johnson set a program record with a time of 10:55.31 to sit atop Penn State’s all-time list and finish fifth in the event.  

The Penn State men’s 4x400 relay group of Joshua Stolarski, James Onwuka, Jake Palermo and Matt DeMatteo finished the race in fourth place at 3:05.89, a time that ranks No. 6 all-time in Penn State history.  

Meredith Baham impressed in the pole vault, taking the No. 6 spot on Penn State’s all-time list with a 4.11m (13-5 ¾) mark that set a new PR and led to a second-place finish.  

TRACK EVENTS 

Women’s 100-meter Hurdles 

  • Maddie Pitts placed ninth to set a new PR time of 13.54  

Women’s 4x400 Medley Championship 

Women’s Distance Medley Relay Championship 

  • Goldstein, Ullom, Kane and Johnson finished in fifth place to set a new school record of 10:55.31  

Men’s 4x400 Championship 

  • Stolarski, Onwuka, Palermo and DeMatteo finished in fourth place at 3:05.89 to take the No. 6 spot on the all-time list 

Men’s Sprint Medley Championship  

FIELD EVENT SUMMARY   

Women’s Long Jump 

  • Maddie Pitts placed fourth, recording a 5.88m (19-3 ½) jump 

Women’s Pole Vault 

  • Baham becomes the No. 6 spot on the all-time list after setting a new PR of 4.11m (13-5 ¾) mark 

Women’s High Jump 

  • Jenna Young placed second to set a new PR of 1.70m (5-7) 

Men’s High Jump 

  • Timothy Watson tied for seventh place with a 2.00m (6-6 ¾) jump 

Men’s Pole Vault 

  • Mason Bucks finished in fourth place with a 5.00m (16-4 ¾) mark 
  • Breckin Swope tied for ninth with a 4.85m (15-11) mark to set a new PR
