2024 Outdoor
Season: Claimed the Big Ten silver medal in the heptathlon with the fifth-best point total in school history.
Hurricane Alumni Invitational (4/5-6): Completed the first heptathlon of her 2024 outdoor season, finishing third overall with top-five event finishes in the 800m (2:17.08, 2nd), 200m (24.58, 3rd), shot put (39-10.5 (12.15m), 4th), and long jump (18-8 (5.69m), 5th). Bison Outdoor Classic (4/12-14): Was a part of the event-winning 4x100 relay team that clocked a 45.64…Also competed in the shot put (39-11.5, 12.18m) and javelin throw (93-11, 28.63m). Penn Relays (4/25-27): Moonlighting as a sprinter for the day, Pitts, along with teammates Jermecia Brown, Zoey Goldstein, and Hayley Kitching, set the school record in the SMR with a 3:44.66, the 18th-fastest mark in NCAA history…Ran in the 4x200m relay as well, recording a 1:36.89…Competed in the open long jump, finishing with a 18-9.75 (5.73m) mark. Jim Thorpe Invitational (5/3): Set a PR in the shot put with a 41-11.5 (12.79m) effort. Big Ten Outdoor Championships (5/10-12): Earned the silver medal in the heptathlon at the conference championships, amassing 5,422 points, the fifth-best total in school history…Finished first in the hep 200m with a 24.46…Added PRs in the 100mH (14.29, 6th) and javelin throw (98-5, 30.00m, 8th)…Placed second in the long jump (19-2.5, 5.85m) and 800m (2:16.94), third in the shot put (41-3, 12.57m), and ninth in the high jump (5-1.75, 1.57m)…Also competed in the 4x100m relay as Penn State’s group finished tenth with a season-best time of 45.27.
2024 Indoor
Season: Won bronze in the pentathlon at the Big Ten Indoor Championships with a personal-best point total.
Bison Opener (12/1-2/2023): Won the pentathlon in her season opener with a 3,857-point total. Penn State Tune-Up (2/16): Finished second in the open long jump with an 18-3.75 (5.58m) mark…Took third in the shot put with a 37-8.75 (11.50m) toss. Big Ten Indoor Championships (2/23-24): Finished third in the conference in the pentathlon with a personal-best 3,985 points…Recorded PRs in the high jump (5-4.5, 1.64m) and 60mH (8.76) events…Earned second in the pentathlon shot put competition with a 40-9.5 (12.43m) mark…Added a ninth-place standing in the long jump (18-0.25, 5.49m) and capped off her outing with a sixth-place result in the pentathlon 800m (2:17.74)…Teammate Chloe Royce earned the conference title in the pentathlon while Pitts won bronze.
2023 Outdoor
Season: She finished fourth place in the Big Ten Championships in the heptathlon, setting PRs in five of seven events for the eighth-best heptathlon total in school history…Was a member of Penn State’s 4x100 squad that finished fourth in the Big Ten conference.
Penn Springtime Challenge (3/18): Competed in three of the seven events of the heptathlon, finishing top-six in each of the 200, 100mH and long jump events. Virginia Challenge (4/20-22): Finished her first career heptathlon, setting PRs in the 100mH (14.56) and the javelin throw (68-0 (20.73m)…Amassed a 5075 final score, elevating her into the top ten in school history in her first ever heptathlon. Big Ten Outdoor Championships (5/12-14): In her career outing, the Nittany Lion freshman set PRs in the 800 (2:15.30, 3rd place), long jump (19-6.75 (5.96m), 2nd place), 200 (24.35, 2nd place), shot put (39-2.25 (11.94m), 5th place), and high jump (5-3.75 (1.62m), 7th place)…She threw 57-4 (17.49m) in the javelin and ran 14.32 (+3.5 m/s) in the 100mH to complete her day…Her total reached 5265 points, the eighth-best heptathlon total in Penn State history and a fourth-place finish in the Big Ten…She then went and helped her squad clock a 45.50 in the 4x100 for a sixth-place finish in the conference…To cap off her weekend, she competed in the open long jump, leaping 18-5.75 (5.63m) for 20th place.
2023 Indoor
Season: In her true freshman season, set her pentathlon PR at the Big Ten Indoor Championships (2/24-25), finishing 12th in the conference
Bison Opener (12/2-3): Set her HJ PR with a 5’2.25 (1.58m) clearance in her first collegiate pentathlon. Nittany Lion Challenge (1/14): Recorded her best shot put effort of the season, a 34-0.75 (10.38m) effort. Sykes & Sabock Challenge (2/4): Ran an 8.93 to finish eighth overall and record her personal-best 60mH time. Music City Challenge (2/10-11): Leapt 19-5.25 (5.92m) to record her long jump PR. Big Ten Indoor Championships (2/24-25): Ran a 2:15.47, her 800m PR, to finish fourth overall in the pentathlon 800m…Capped off her indoor season with a personal-best 3,645 in the pentathlon.
