Started in all 17 games and posted a career season with a .575 winning percentage at the faceoff X, ranking 15th in the nation...Named to All-CAA First Team...Collected a team-high 84 ground balls, which ranked 36th in the nation for ground balls per game (4.94)...Dished four assists...Won at least 10 faceoffs in 15 of 17 contests including a season high 19 against Towson (5/3) in the CAA final, posting a winning percentage of .792 with eight ground balls...Went 15-for-20 with four ground balls and an assist in season-opening win at Michigan (2/9)...Tallied season-high nine ground balls in loss to Ohio State (3/2)...Went 17-for-24 in faceoffs with two assists and five ground balls against Lehigh (3/9)...Notched seven ground balls in wins over Saint Joseph[apos]s (3/23) and Villanova (3/30)...Picked up four ground balls and an assist in win over Delaware (4/20)...Won 11-of-18 faceoffs and picked up seven ground balls against Yale (5/11) in NCAA tournament against Dylan Levings, who finished season seventh in win percentage (.597).
AS A JUNIOR IN 2012:
Started in all 15 matches for the Nittany Lions...Lead the team with 62 ground balls with a season high of seven in the victory against Villanova (13-8)...Won 149 faceoffs for the season with a .509 face-off percentage...Went a season-best 13-for-17 (76.5%) in face-offs against Lehigh (3/20)...Tallied three assists on the season, one in each game against Michigan (2/18), Bucknell (3/27) and Villanova (3/31).
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2011:
Appeared in all 14 games and started 11 contests...Earned All-CAA Second Team honors...Collected seven points (6g, 1a)...Led team with 71 ground balls...In conference games, ranked first in the CAA in ground balls per game (6.17) and third in faceoff percentage (.559).
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2010:
Played in 11 games and recorded two points (1g, 1a)...Added nine ground balls and a .500 faceoff percentage...Scored his first collegiate goal against St. John[apos]s on March 27.
BEFORE PENN STATE:
Attended Brother Rice High School with Nittany Lion teammate Nick Dolik...Served as team captain as a senior...Helped lead school to four Michigan state titles (2005-09) and the 2008 Midwest Championship...Tallied 76 career goals...Was a three-time All-American and all-state selection.
