Third year goalie Greg Boyle will once again be counted on to serve as the key back-up to All-ECAC keeper Drew Adams. He has seen spot action during his first two campaigns.
Lion Career:
2007:Boyle played in two games in 2007, notching two saves and allowing two goals. He had a .500 save percentage. Boyle saw action against Ohio State and St. Joseph[apos]s in 2007.
2006: Boyle saw action in one game in 2006, collecting a save on the only shot-on-goal he faced. He played just over three minutes in Penn State[apos]s win at St. John[apos]s.
HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL:
Born Dec. 2, 1986...four-year starter at John Carroll...team MVP as a freshman for 15-1 squad...led team to a league title and a 15-3 mark as a sophomore...second straight league title and 16-1 mark as a junior...team MVP for 16-3 squad as a senior...also lettered in football...son of Mike and Marian Boyle...three brothers, Michael, Patrick and Matthew...majoring in finance at Penn State.
