UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; July 7, 2005 - Who wants to play football at Penn State? Next summer, June 14-16, 2006, you can do just that at the inaugural Penn State Football Fantasy Camp.
This camp will enable individuals to live out their childhood football fantasies as adults. Participants will train in the Penn State football facilities, rehab hamstrings, learn from coaches and former players, receiving on-field instruction during the 4 practice sessions, all in preparation for the flag football Blue-White showdown in Beaver Stadium on Saturday. Campers will even ride those famed blue buses to the stadium on game day! There will also be evening banquets in hallowed venues and social time where Fantasy Campers will have time to interact with Nittany Lion lettermen from years past.
Broadcaster Todd Blackledge, a PSU quarterback from 1980-82 notes, ??Today, access is the ultimate reality and this will certainly provide a real taste of what it is like to be a Penn State Football player.??
Participation is open to the first 50 players and 10 honorary coaches who register (participation is limited to male adults 22 years of age and older). The Penn State Fantasy Camp will allow participants to experience a personal and active association with Penn State Football and the Nittany Lion football program, with the dream weekend to include:
