UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; November 11, 2005 -Penn State??s women??s soccer team (19-0-1) has been selected as one of four No. 1 seeds for this year??s NCAA Tournament. The Nittany Lions will meet Bucknell at Jeffrey Field on Friday night, while West Virginia and Hofstra will meet in another game that same night in Happy Valley. Game times will be 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., with a later announcement setting the match-ups at each time.

Penn State is coming off its eighth consecutive Big Ten regular season championship, and is making its 11th-straight NCAA appearance this year. The Lions have been ranked No. 1 during the past month, earning the top ranking for the first time in program history.

The winner of the Penn State vs. Bucknell game will meet the winner of the West Virginia vs. Hofstra match. That second round match will begin at 1 p.m. on Jeffrey Field. Tickets will be $7 for adults and $3 for youth, student, senior citizen tickets and can be purchased at the gate each day.
