University Park, Pa., Jan. 23, 2006 - The Penn State men's basketball team (10-6; 2-3 Big Ten) will continue its toughest stretch of the season to date when the Nittany Lions travel to No. 15/13 ranked Wisconsin (14-4; 4-1 Big Ten) for an 8:00 p.m. (ET) tipoff Wednesday. Penn State is coming of a 75-64 loss to No. 19 Ohio State in the Jordan Center on Saturday. Freshman Jamelle Cornley led the Lions in that game posting 14 points and eight rebounds as the leading Big Ten Freshman of the Year candidate continued his strong play.
Wisconsin sits tied with the Buckeyes atop the conference standings but has lost its last two games, including a stunning 62-55 defeat at home at the hands of North Dakota State on Saturday. Wednesday's game can be heard live on the Penn State Sports Network and will also be streamed live to www.GoPSUsports.com. Steve Jones and Dick Jerardi will call the action.
