Space still remains at the summer camp of champions as the nine-time defending Big Ten champs host three separate sessions this summer.
Penn State Nittany Lion Instructional Soccer Camp is designed to help players learn how to enjoy soccer, enhance techniques, and improve skills. Demonstrations and round-robin tournaments feature proper soccer methods and enable participants to practice what they learn. Sessions focus on teamwork, preseason training, and special team tactics and strategies. An additional area of concentration is the development of positional skills and tactical training through functional practices designed to improve positional awareness and understanding. Goalkeepers receive separate, specialized coaching as well as game analysis from experienced instructors. To ensure quality playing time, a maximum of 10 goalkeepers will be permitted to enroll.
Penn State Nittany Lion Soccer Team Camp is designed to provide varsity high school and/or club teams with the opportunity to train and compete together under the direction and guidance of college and Olympic Development Program coaches. Each team will have tactical training sessions, technical pressure training, and match competition daily. Teams must send a minimum of 16 and a maximum of 22 players to the camp. A team will not be officially enrolled without a minimum of 16 players.
Camp Dates:
7/22-7/26: Individual Camp *
7/27-7/30: Team Camp & Individual Camp *
7/31-8/3: Team Camp
* Individuals are encouraged to attend either Individual Camp (7/22-7/26) or Team & Individual Camp (7/27-7/30).
Individuals attending camp from 7/27-7/30 will be coordinated into teams based on age and ability. They will be given top level practice and skill instruction under the direction of the coaching staff. Such campers will play in full 11v11 evening games with their newly coordinated teams. Furthermore, individually registered campers will be expected to participate in all fun- filled camp activities.
