Lady Lion Season Ticket Renewals Available

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA.; July 19, 2007 -- Season ticket holders for Lady Lion basketball are now able to renew their season tickets and request a seat change. Season ticket renewal forms were mailed to 2006-07 seat holders the first week in July.

The Lady Lions will play in front of the Bryce Jordan Center fans for 16 games, including the season-opening WBCA Classic presented by Basketball Traveler's on Nov. 9-11. Adult season tickets are $147, senior/faculty and staff season tickets are $115, youth season tickets are $64 and Penn State student season passes are $25. Those purchasing adult, senior or youth season ticket packages will have the three-day, six-game tournament pass included in the season ticket package. Information on WBCA Classic tickets for Penn State students will be available in the coming weeks.

Season ticket holders will receive several benefits, including an exclusive pre-sale of single-game tickets on Thursday, Oct. 4, a pre-season Meet-n-Greet with Coquese Washington and the rest of the Lady Lion staff and vouchers for tickets to four non-conference games. Other benefits include a season ticket holder holiday reception, season ticket holder gift and second chance giveaways.

Kids in grades 1-8 during the 2007-08 school year are eligible to join the Kid's Club for $42. Lady Lion Kids Club membership includes admission to all regular-season home games, a kids club t-shirt, a chance to be the "Star of the Game" or "Kid on the Bench" during the season, a preseason pizza party, a basketball clinic with the Lady Lions, monthly newsletters, game day giveaways to the first 200 kids and an official Think Pink Day t-shirt.

The Lady Lions will open their season by hosting the WBCA Classic presented by Basketball Travelers Inc., at the Bryce Jordan Center, Friday, Nov. 9 - Sunday, Nov. 11. The WBCA Classic opens with the Charlotte 49ers of the Atlantic 10 taking on the Big East Conference's Pittsburgh Panthers at 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9. The Lady Lions will face off against Pac 10 foe Arizona in the nightcap at 7:30 p.m. Saturday's opener features the Arizona Wildcats against Pitt at 4 p.m., before Penn State meets the 49ers at 6:30 p.m. The tournament's final day will see Arizona and Charlotte collide at 2 p.m., followed by a 4:30 p.m. match-up between the Lady Lions and Pitt.

Also highlighting the Lady Lions' non-conference schedule is the inaugural Big Ten/ACC Women's Basketball Challenge against perennial contender Duke on Sunday, Dec. 2. Penn State will also take on Georgetown and former Lady Lion Terri Williams-Flournoy on Sunday, Dec. 9. Fans will also have the opportunity to see nine Big Ten games in the Bryce Jordan Center as the conference expanded its schedule to 18 league games this season. The full Lady Lion schedule will be released in August.
