University Park, Pa., August 28, 2007 - Penn State senior golfer Robert Rohanna (Waynesburg, Pa.) was listed as one of the Top 50 Male Players to Watch by GolfWorld.com in its 2007-08 College Preview.
Rohanna, a 2007 first-team All-Big Ten honoree, is one of only three Big Ten golfers to make the list, including Indiana's Jorge Campillo and Wisconsin's Dan Woltman. Rohanna placed fourth at the Big Ten Championship.
A 2006-07 Academic All-American, Rohanna finished the season with eight top-10 finishes, including three wins. He earned medalist honors for the first time in his career at the Georgetown Hoya Invitational in the fall with rounds of 72 and 67 - his lowest round of the season. He was named Big Ten Golfer of the Week following his win at the Marshall Intercollegiate in the spring and also won Penn State's Rutherford Intercollegiate.
Rohanna finished the season ranked 84th in the nation by Golfweek Magazine. He was named to the Mid-Atlantic All-Region Team for the third straight year and won the Western Pennsylvania Golf Association's Frank Fuhrer, III, Award, as the outstanding collegiate golfer in the area for the second consecutive year.
