UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. - The Penn State women's basketball team will be participating in the 10th annual Lady Lion/Edie Hall Cancer Walk-a-Thon on Sunday, October 7 from 2-4 p.m. at the Multi-Sport Facility at Penn State. Each year the Lady Lions participate in the event, which raises thousands of dollars for the American Cancer Society.
The public is welcome to walk with the Lady Lions and assist in the fundraising effort. Anyone wishing to raise money for the event can download a pledge form on www.GoPSUsports.com or by contacting the Lady Lion Basketball office (814-863-2672).
A Pot-Luck supper will follow the event at 4 p.m. Anyone attending the Pot-Luck supper should bring a covered dish to share.

The Lady Lions open the 2007-08 season as they host the WBCA/Basketball Travelers Classic at the Bryce Jordan Center November 9-11. Penn State will face Arizona on Nov. 9, before meeting Charlotte (Nov. 10) and in-state rival Pittsburgh (Nov. 11).
