UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Football's Sean Lee (Pittsburgh, Pa.) and Women's Soccer's Zoe Bouchelle (Cockeysville, Md.) have been named this week's Penn State Student-Athletes of the Week. Lee had 12 tackles and one sack in Penn State's 38-7 victory over No. 19 Wisconsin and Bouchelle scored the game winning goal in the Nittany Lion's Friday contest against Michigan State.
As female student-athlete of the week, Bouchelle's hard work on the soccer field finally paid dividends in the points column, as the midfielder was in on each of the four goals that Penn State scored against Big Ten foes Michigan State on Friday and Michigan on Sunday. In addition to scoring Friday's game winner, the redshirt-junior also provided the assist in the 10th minute gamewinner on Sunday.
Lee, a junior linebacker, led a defense that held the Badgers to single digits for the first time since a 30-7 loss to Iowa in 2004 and forced three first half turnovers, leading to 14 points. Lee's 12 tackles in Penn State's win marked his fifth consecutive game with at least 10 tackles. Lee leads PSU and is among the Big Ten leaders with 75 tackles.
Lee will look to continue his excellence on defense when Penn State plays Indiana (5-2) on Sat. Oct. 20 at 12 p.m. in Bloomington, Ind. Bouchelle will look to assist in continuing women's soccer's 10 game unbeaten streak on Fri. Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. when the Nittany Lions take on Iowa (6-4-4) in Iowa City, Iowa.
