University Park, Pa. - Senior Geary Claxton recorded his 19th career double-double, scoring 20 points and collecting 10 rebounds as the Nittany Lion basketball team rolled over Canisius, 93-40.

Penn State's 53-point victory is the second largest in Nittany Lion basketball history, second only to Penn State's 105-47 win over Ithaca in 1953.

Claxton shot 6-of-13 (46 percent) from the field, 2-of-4 (50 percent) from beyond the arc and 6-of-9 (66 percent) from the free-throw line. Claxton's double-double was his second straight this season.

Penn State junior Danny Morrissey scored 17 points, going 5-of-7 (71 percent) from the three-point line. Senior Mike Walker scored 11 points and junior Stanley Pringle added nine points.

Elton Frazier led Canisius with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Jovan Robinson and Greg Logins each added six points for the Griffins.

Penn State returns to action Thursday against South Carolina at the Old Spice Classic in Orlando, Fla. Tip-off is slated for 12 p.m. More to come...
