UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. - Fresh off their first road win of the season, the Lady Lions (4-1) return to the Bryce Jordan Center to face Drexel (1-3) on Sunday at 2 p.m.

The Lady Lions won the only other previous meeting between the two squads with a 74-56 decision in Philadelphia in last year's season-opener. Last season, Amanda Brown posted a double-double with 18 points and 17 rebounds to lead the Lady Lions, while Kam Gissendanner (Clairton, Pa.) and Brianne O'Rourke (Pittsburgh, Pa.) added 15 points apiece in the win. Penn State is 15-11 all-time against current Colonial Athletic Association teams.
Trailing by two points with just over four minutes left Tuesday night, Gissendanner connected on a three-pointer to spark a 13-1 run to lead the Lady Lions to a 70-63 victory over South Carolina. Gissendanner posted her second-straight double-double with 10 points and a game-best 13 rebounds, while Tyra Grant (Youngstown, Ohio) tied the game-high with 17 points. The win over the Gamecocks marked the Lady Lions' first road win in nearly a year. Penn State's last victory at an opponent's venue was Dec. 17, 2006 when the Blue & White topped Georgetown, 52-44.
Grant continues to lead the Lady Lions in scoring with a 17.0 average and has remained solid from the floor with a 55.9% field goal percentage. Gissendanner is second on the team in scoring (13.8 ppg) and leads the Lady Lions in rebounding (7.8 rpg) after back-to-back double-digit rebounding efforts.
The Dragons dropped a 60-57 decision to Army Tuesday night to fall to 1-3 on the season. Gabriela Marginean leads the Dragons in scoring?(20.0 ppg), rebounding (9.5 rpg), assists (2.5 apg) and steals (1.3 spg).
The Lady Lions visit Old Dominion on Thursday night before returning to the Jordan Center to face nationally-ranked Duke in the inaugural Big Ten/ACC Women's Basketball Challenge on Sunday, Dec. 2 at 5 p.m.
