Davis, Rohrbaugh Picked as this Week's Penn State Student-Athletes of the Week

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - This week, Phil Davis of the wrestling team and Casey Rohrbaugh of the women's gymnastics team have all been named Penn State Student-Athletes of the Week.

Davis, a senior wrestler weighing in at 197, went a perfect 5-0 for the #1 Penn State at the National Duals. Davis's win on Sunday against Ohio State was the 100th of his illustrious career. He is now 100-19 overall with 26 pins, 19 majors and 217 dual match points. During his outstanding run this weekend, Davis downed the No. 4, No. 13 and No. 17 ranked wrestlers. Two of his victories this weekend were pins and two were majors.

Casey Rohrbaugh


Sophomore Casey Rohrbaugh captured her first career all-around title as she competed in all four collegiate events for the first time. She recorded a meet-high 38.525 in the all-around to take home the crown and scored a 9.575 on vault, a 9.675 on bars, a 9.575 on beam and a 9.700 on floor to help the No. 13 Nittany Lions defeat Pittsburgh and Kent State in the opening meet of the season.
