No. 2 Men's Volleyball Hosts Saint Francis Saturday

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The second-ranked Penn State men's volleyball team (15-0) hosts EIVA foe Saint Francis on Saturday, Feb. 23 at 7:00 p.m. at Rec Hall. Gametracker and free live video will be available at www.GoPSUsports.com and admission is free.

Previewing Penn State
The Nittany Lions enter Saturday's match with a 15-0 overall record and a 6-0 mark in the EIVA after defeating East Stroudsburg in three games (30-21, 30-19, 30-20) Wednesday night. Junior outside hitter Matt Anderson leads the squad with 5.55 kills per game while junior opposite Ryan Sweitzer and junior middle hitter Max Holt add in 3.50 and 3.20 kills per game, respectively. Senior setter Luke Murray directs the offense with 13.22 assists per game and freshman libero Dennis Del Valle tops the defense with 2.72 digs per game. Holt tops the blocking list with 1.33 blocks per game while sophomore middle hitter Max Lipsitz adds in 1.17 blocks per game. As a team, Penn State is leading the nation with a .382 hitting percentage while averaging 15.98 kills per game, 1.56 service aces per game, 8.90 digs per game and 3.22 blocks per game.

The Series: Penn State vs. Saint Francis
Penn State leads Saint Francis, 21-0, in a series that began in 1995. The previous meeting this season was a three-game Nittany Lion victory (30-19, 30-16, 30-23) on Jan. 25 in Loretto, Pa. The last meeting in Rec Hall was a three-game Penn State win (30-28, 30-16, 30-27) on April 28, 2007, in the EIVA Championship match.
