University Park, Pa. - The Penn State baseball team will host its final two schedule midweek home games of the year this week with a pair of games on Tuesday and Wednesday night. The Nittany Lions host LaSalle on Tuesday at 6:35 p.m. and then entertain Youngstown State on Wednesday beginning at 5:35 p.m.

Penn State (15-21) enters Tuesday's game on a four-game winning streak, its longest of the year, after sweeping Indiana over the weekend. The Nittany Lions have raised their team batting average by 16 points over the last 10 games and have hit over .300 in their last two weekend series.

Tuesday's game will mark just the second-ever trip for LaSalle (9-29) to State College and it will be the first meeting between the Nittany Lions and Explorers since the 1997 season. LaSalle's only previous trip to Penn State was for two games in 1990. The Nittany Lions own a 6-2 advantage in the all-time series.

Wednesday will mark the first meeting with Youngstown State (16-22) since the 1991 season. The Nittany Lions hold a 4-2 advantage over the Penguins in the all-time series. The teams played two games each in the 1988, 1989 and 1991 seasons.
