STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - STATE COLLEGE, Pa.; June 20, 2008 - Penn State Nittany Lion lacrosse player Jordan Kolb (Lancaster, Pa.) has been named to the All-ECAC Academic Team as announced by the conference office. Kolb, a junior midfielder for the Nittany Lions, receives the league honor for the first time.
Kolb played in all 14 games for Penn State this year and led Penn State in face-off percentage with a .604 mark (winning 58 of 96 attempts). Kolb also had 26 ground balls for the Nittany Lions. In three years at Penn State, Kolb has played in 23 games and won 77 of 128 face-offs.
Penn State, under the guidance of head coach Glenn Thiel, went 7-7 last season and will finish one final run through the ECAC Lacrosse League in 2009. Penn State will join the Colonial Athletic Conference in 2010.
