NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Senior Brendan Lynch (North Potomac, Md.) came up short to Yale's Jeff Dawson in the quarterfinal round. Dawson defeated Lynch by a score of 6-4, 7-6 (4).
In doubles action Sophomore Eddie Bourchier (Hobart, Australia) and freshman Jason Lee (Melbourne, Australia) won their first match versus UMBC's Fredi Voorman and Nick Savage-Pollock, 8-5. Following the victory, Bourchier and Lee faced Harvard's Chris Clayton and Alex Chijoff-Evans, where they lost a tough one, 8-2.
Action concludes Tuesday with singles semifinals, followed by singles and doubles finals. The Nittany Lions will head to Madison, Wis. for the Big Ten Singles Championships on Oct. 30.
