UNIVERSITY PARK, PA., Nov. 25, 2008 - The Nittany Lion basketball team has enjoyed the friendly confines of the Bryce Jordan Center so far on the season downing New Hampshire, 70-50, on Sunday to improve to 4-0. Penn State will get its first road test of the season tonight as the Nittany Lions take on Penn at 7:30 p.m. in the Palestra. The Nittany Lions begin a four-game road swing, their longest since 2001, tonight and will be away from the Jordan Center for 12 days. Penn State trails the series with Penn 30-15 and is just 8-28 in the Palestra vs. the Quakers.

Sophomore point-guard Talor Battle continue his strong early season play on Sunday posting 24 points in the win and stands third in the Big Ten scoring 20.5 ppg. Jamelle Cornley has also been outstanding posting a pair of double-doubles on the year and showing spring in his step after off-season knee surgery.

Penn is led by 6-5, guard Tyler Bernardini who posted 26 points in the Quakers season-opening loss at No. 1 North Carolina. The Quakers are 1-2 on the year having also lost a close game at Drexel (66-64) and downed Monmouth (83-62). Penn was picked to finish second in the Ivy League.

This will be the first meeting between the schools in six years.
