UNIVERSITY PARK, PA., Dec. 23, 2008 - The Nittany Lion basketball team will look to improve to 11-2 tonight when they take on Sacred Heart at 7:00 p.m. in the Bryce Jordan Center. The game can be viewed live at BigTenNetwork.com and heard live on the Penn State Sports Network.
Penn State Faculty and Staff will receive $5 tickets at the door with a valid University ID and youth will be admitted free when accompanied by an adult with a regular priced ticket. Season ticket holders may also upgrade their seats to the lower level student section near the floor by contacting the ticket office prior to game time.
Penn State enters Sunday's game with a 10-2 record after downing Lafayette, 83-55, on Sunday. The Nittany Lions have posted their most number of wins ever entering Big Ten play and are one of three Big Ten teams with 10 or more wins on the year. Penn State has been led by the sensational play of sophomore point guard Talor Battle who is second in the Big Ten averaging 18.7 points per game and is coming off a near triple-double performance (11 points, 10 boards, eight assists) in the win over Lafayette.
Sacred Heart enters Tuesday's game with a 3-5 mark after losing its last two contests. They are led by forward Ryon Howard and center Joey Henley who both average better than 13 points and seven rebounds a game.
