Adlam, Bonner Pace Nittany Lions in Diving Invite

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Penn State men's and women's swimming and diving teams posted top three finishes in three of the four events at Rutgers' Galbraith Diving Invite this weekend.

Justin Bonner took second place in the one-meter springboard score of 300.55 after placing third in the three-meter jump. In the former of the two events, Justin earned a 265.05 total in the finals.

Courtney Adlam paced the women's field for the Nittany Lions, finding herself atop the leaderboard in third place on the three-meter springboard with a score of 269. Adlam, who came into the final round of competition in second with a outstanding mark of 259.80.

The women's team had one other diver make finals. Ilana Zeises spotted sixth on the three-meter with a 243.75, a score that was more than 30 points better than her preliminary best.

Liz Marasco and Megan Marco were on the cusp of qualifying for the final round. They finished in ninth and tenth, respectively, on the one-meter springboards.

The Bonner brothers each made the three-meter finals. Behind his brother Justin, Josh Bonner came in seventh. Following the preliminary round, Josh was in second place with a score of 277. Josh had a satisfactory performance on the one-meter jump, tacking a 270 result.

Massachusetts won all four events and took two of the four second-place finishes. Pennsylvania took the other.
