University Park, Pa. - Penn State men's volleyball held its annual Alumni match and banquet on Saturday, Jan. 17. In one of the largest gatherings to date, the Varsity defeated the Alumni in three games (30-27, 30-25, 30-21) and the "Old" team defeated the "Really Old" team in the Geezer Game, 30-23. Junior middle hitter Max Lipsitz defeated Brent Lapp (1995) in the Ball-Pull but the Alumni roared back to take the performance of the Doobie Brothers "Black Water".

Penn State opens its season at home on Friday, Jan. 23 against Ball State at 7:00 p.m. at Rec Hall.
