UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State women's lacrosse program will hold its annual Alumnae Game on Sun., March 1 at 11 a.m. at Holuba Hall. The game will be a part of a weekend-long celebration of the 1989 national championship team.

"The alumnae game is a wonderful opportunity for former Penn State greats to meet the current team and get excited for our season," said nine-year Nittany Lion head coach and Penn State alumna Suzanne Isidor. "This event is always fun because it allows us to connect the past, present and future of Penn State lacrosse. This year's reunion will be particular special in that we will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of the 1989 national championship team. We are thrilled to welcome back those players and honor their accomplishments."

The 1989 National Championship team will be honored at halftime of the Penn State men's basketball game versus Indiana on Sat., Feb. 28 and then again on the following day at halftime of the women's lacrosse game against Colgate.

A number of former Penn State greats from the '89 squad are expected to return to Happy Valley for the weekend including Tami Worley Kirby, Mary Ann Foley Schiller, Lee Clough Frey, and Tracy Mass Yopp.

Under Hall of Fame head coach Sue Delaney-Scheetz, the 1989 women's lacrosse team compiled a sterling 19-1 record, including postseason victories over Temple and Harvard, en route to capturing the program's fifth national championship.
