University Park, Pa. - Penn State men's volleyball senior middle hitter Max Holt (Cincinnati, Ohio) has been named the EIVA Player of the Week, conference officials announced. The honor is the sixth of his career and the second for a Nittany Lion this season, as junior middle hitter Max Lipsitz (Williamsville, N.Y.) earned the accolade on Jan. 27.

Behind Holt's play, top-ranked Penn State picked up two more sweeps to improve to 10-0. Versus No. 14 Ohio State in front of 4,170 fans at Rec Hall, Holt pounded eight kills on 10 swings with only one error to hit .700 with one assist and a match-high three blocks for 10.0 points.

For the weekend, Holt posted a team-high 20 kills, an average of 4.00 kills per game, on .864 hitting (20-1-22) with two aces and five blocks for a team-high 25.0 total points, an average of 5.00 points per game.
