UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State field hockey team begins its 2009 spring schedule this weekend as it hosts Bucknell on Friday at 6 p.m. The Nittany Lions defeated the Bison, 4-2, during this past season.
The 2008 Big Ten regular season champions take on Lock Haven at the Field Hockey Field on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Head coach Char Morett's squad polished off Lock Haven, a Division I school in field hockey, by a score of 3-1.
On Saturday, April 18, Penn State travels to New Jersey to compete at the Princeton Invitational, where it may have the opportunity to seek retribution against a Tiger squad that ousted it from the first round of the NCAA Championships in November.
An Alumnae Game is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Sunday, April 26 in University Park, Pa.
The Nittany Lions are tentatively scheduled to begin its regular season on Aug. 28-30 on a two-game swing in the state of Virginia.
