UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; - Penn State Football Uplifting Athletes has announced that more than 10 current players will be participating in a dunk tank fundraiser outside of Beaver Stadium Friday, April 24 from 4-7 p.m. The proceeds raised at the event will benefit the Kidney Cancer Association.
Also available at the dunk tank will be Uplifting Athletes T-shirts, informational brochures, and a chance to meet and greet members of the Penn State football squad. Among the players scheduled to participate in the dunk tank are: Drew Astorino, Brandon Beachum and Kevin Newsome (4-5 p.m.), Jerome Hayes, Sean Lee and Evan Royster (5-6 p.m.) and Daryll Clark and Stephfon Green (6-7 p.m.).
The Seventh Annual Penn State Football Lift for Life competition will be held Friday, July 10 from 2-7 p.m. in Holuba Hall, which is located directly across from the East Area Locker Room and adjacent to the Lasch Football Building. The event is open to the public with a suggested donation of $10 per person or $5 per student or child. Fans will have a chance to meet and get autographs from current and former Nittany Lion greats.
Penn State Football Uplifting Athletes has raised more than $300,000 for the Kidney Cancer Association since the inaugural Penn State Football Lift for Life in 2003.
