Penn State Sports Night Out to Be Held on Wednesday in Findlay Commons

Sept. 22, 2009

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - GoPSUsports.com, The Nittany Lion Club, and Findlay Dining commons are sponsoring "Penn State Sports Night Out" on Wednesday, September 23, in Findlay Dining Commons. The event is open for all students. "Penn State Sports Night Out" will offer students a sports themed dinner menu along with opportunities to play games, win prizes, meet their favorite Penn State athletes, and take part in many other activities surrounding Penn State sports.

Throughout this special themed dinner all of the sports teams will have tables set up around the commons. Students can receive free posters and give-a-ways from their favorite sports teams as well as meet and greet with their favorite athletes. Students can also enter to win the grand prize, one pre-game field pass for themselves and a friend to the football game this Saturday vs. Iowa.

Additionally, the Penn State Basketball table will be holding a raffle to win free student season tickets for this year. The players will also raffle off the chance for any Penn State student to enter and win the "Pimp my Room" contest for a makeover with sports memorabilia, bedding, and much more.

The Nittany Lion Club table will have information on the Student Nittany Lion Club with one lucky student winning a free one-year membership. Full-time PSU students can support their fellow student-athletes while earning valuable points toward priority ticket status when you graduate for only $25 a year.

Downstairs in Findlay Commons by the Big Onion there will be even more games and prizes. Among the fun activities downstairs will be a prize wheel, cotton candy machine, and a basketball inflatable to shoot hoops. A Wii station will also be set up along with the cotton-candy machine and prize wheel where students can face off against their favorite student-athletes in Wii sports.

B94 radio station will broadcast live from the event. Students are encouraged to show their Penn State pride by wearing their favorite PSU Sports Apparel.
