UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. - The Lady Lion basketball team will hold an open practice for season ticket holders on Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 5 p.m., in the main arena at the Bryce Jordan Center. Season ticket holders are invited to watch the final portion of practice and will then have an opportunity to meet and greet the team. The event runs until 6:15 p.m.
Season ticket holders will have an exclusive opportunity to enjoy pizza and refreshments with the team and will also have a group photo taken with the Lady Lions following practice. Doors to the Bryce Jordan Center will open at 5 p.m. Fans are encouraged to park in the Red Lot adjacent to Beaver Stadium and enter the arena through Gate B.
Lady Lion Basketball season tickets are available by calling 1-800-NITTANY or 814-863-1000. Season tickets are $117 for adults, $52 for youth and $91 for seniors. The Lady Lions open their season with an exhibition game against Indiana (Pa.) on Sun., Nov. 8. Penn State fans that attend the Indiana football game can use their football ticket to receive buy one ticket, get one free ticket for the Lady Lions' home opener against NJIT on Sun., Nov. 15.
The 2010 WBCA Pink Zone at Penn State will take place on Sunday, Jan. 24 at 1 p.m., as the Lady Lions take on Illinois in the Bryce Jordan Center. The game can be seen on www.bigtennetwork.com. The first three Pink Zone events have raised more than $80,000 for breast cancer awareness. This year's fundraising efforts will benefit the Mount Nittany Medical Center, Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute, Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition and the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund.
