Fans of the Penn State Nittany Lion wrestling program will once again be able to listen to a full season of action on local radio. Local AM station WRSC (1390 AM) will broadcast the bulk of the schedule with 3WZ (95.3 FM) carrying a selection of duals as well. Friday night's match against Lehigh will air on 3WZ while Sunday's Bloomsburg dual will air on WRSC. WRSC, part of Forever Broadcasting, is one of the Centre Region's strongest AM signals and will carry every dual meet of the season (as well as action from the Reno Tournament of Champions, Big Ten Championships and NCAA Championships) except five select events that will be picked up by 3WZ. Jeff Byers, the long-time voice of Penn State wrestling, will call the action once again this season. In addition to the regular season schedule, the Cael Sanderson Show airs every Wednesday from 6 to 6:30 p.m. on the PA Sports Network, which airs locally on 3WZ as well. Byers will serve as host of the show. Each radio event will also be streamed on the internet as part of Penn State's All-Access package at www.GoPSUsports.com (click on All-Access). Penn State opens up the dual meet season at Lehigh on Friday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. Penn State's first home dual is slated for Sunday, Nov. 15, at noon when the Bloomsburg Huskies invade Rec Hall. Penn State Wrestling season tickets for the 2009-10 season are on sale now. The five-event package (which does not include the Nittany Lion Open) costs $30 for adults ($6 per event) and $25 for youth ($5 per event). Single event tickets will cost $8 for adults and $6 for youth. Group sales are available once again for groups of 15 people or more. Group prices are $5 in advance and $6 walk-up. Fans can purchase tickets by calling 1.800.NITTANY between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays.
