The Penn State Lady Lions (12-4, 4-2) will look to extend their winning streak to four games when they host #20/23 Michigan State (11-6, 2-4) at the Bryce Jordan Center on Sunday at 1 p.m. The Lions are 23-9 all-time against the Spartans, but have dropped the last three meetings with MSU. The first 1,500 fans will receive a panoramic poster for the post-game autograph session with the Lady Lions. Sunday is also a Subway Full Court Four-Pack game for the Lady Lions. The deal includes four game tickets, four sodas and four vouchers for a 6" Subway sub at any State College location (BJC excluded) for just $40.

GIVEAWAY: The first 1,500 fans will receive a 2009-10 Lady Lion Basketball panoramic poster. Sunday is also Autograph Day for the women's basketball team. The Lady Lions will be on hand to sign autographs on the concourse following the game.

LAST TIME OUT: The Lady Lions used an 11-0 surge late in the second half to come from behind and post a 68-62 win over Iowa Thursday. The win is the first for the Lady Lions in Iowa City since 2005 and gives Penn State the season sweep over the Hawkeyes for the first time since 2006. Senior Tyra Grant led the way for the Lady Lions with her ninth 20-point game of the season with a team-best 20 tallies. Freshman point guard Alex Bentley accounted for 15 points, five assists and a pair of steals, while fellow rookie Nikki Greene tied her career-high with 12 points via a 6-for-11 shooting effort. Greene also pulled down eight rebounds.

SCOUTING MICHIGAN STATE: The #20/23 Spartans are 11-6 overall and 2-4 in Big Ten play, but have dropped their last two games to Ohio State and Wisconsin. Senior Allyssa DeHaan leads Michigan State averaging 12.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.2 blocks per game. Lykendra Johnson is also averaging double-digits with 10.1 points per game. She also leads the team in rebounding at an 8.4 per game clip.

ALL-TIME VS. SPARTANS: Penn State is 23-9 all-time against the Spartans, including a 13-2 mark at home. However, Michigan State has won the last three meetings, including a 67-60 decision at the BJC last year. The last time these teams met, Brianne O'Rourke paced the Lady Lions with 16 points in a 70-59 loss in East Lasing on Jan. 18, 2009.

LAST TIME VS. MSU: The Lady Lions held the lead for much of the first half at Michigan State on Jan. 18, 2009, but the Spartans outscored the Lady Lions 38-29 in the second frame and handed Penn State a 70-59 loss to register the season series sweep. Brianne O'Rourke led the Lady Lion offense with 16 points to go along with three assists and three rebounds, while Mashea Williams was 6-for-10 from the field en route to 12 points. Williams also registered seven rebounds, three assists and a blocked shot.

LIONS SURPASS 2009 WIN TOTAL: With their 68-62 win at Iowa on Jan. 14, the Lady Lions surpassed their win total from the entire 2008-09 season as they picked up their 12th victory. The win also pushed Penn State to 4-2 in Big Ten play for the first time since the 2004-05 season and marked the first time that the Lions have notched back-to-back Big Ten road wins since the 2004-05 campaign. Penn State's four road victories this season are also the most since the 2004-05 season.

SWEEPING THE HAWKEYES: The Lady Lions picked up their first victory in Carver-Hawkeye Arena since Jan. 6, 2005 with a 68-62 win over Iowa on Jan. 14. The victory also secured the regular-season sweep over the Hawkeyes for the first time since the 2003-04 campaign. The teams only met once in the 2004-05 and 2005-06 seasons with Penn State claiming victory each time.

JT THE PG?: Junior Julia Trogele showed off her point guard skills with a career-high seven assists in the Jan. 14 win at Iowa. Freshman Nikki Greene was the beneficiary of four of Trogele's assists. Her previous personal best was five helpers against Prairie View A&M on Nov. 21, 2008.

ROOKIE DUO LEADS LIONS: Freshmen Nikki Greene and Alex Bentley each played pivotal in the Jan. 14 win at Iowa. Greene tied her career high for the fourth time this season with 12 points on a 6-of-11 shooting effort. She also pulled in eight rebounds. Bentley keyed an 11-0 run to give the Lady Lions the lead in the second half with a three-pointer and layup off of a steal. She finished the game with 15 points, five assists and a pair of steals.

TY'S 20s: Senior guard Tyra Grant turned in her ninth 20-point game of the season with 20 points against Iowa on Jan. 14. She also has 35 career games with 20 or more points. Grant has 20 or more points in six of her last seven games.

The Lady Lions visit Wisconsin on Thursday at 8 p.m. (Eastern) before returning to the Bryce Jordan Center on Sunday, Jan. 24 for the Fourth Annual WBCA Pink Zone at Penn State against Illinois at 1 p.m. Penn State will donate $2 from every single-game ticket sold to the Pink Zone to the fundraising cause. The 2010 WBCA Pink Zone at Penn State will take place on Sunday, Jan. 24 at 1 p.m., as the Lady Lions take on Illinois in the Bryce Jordan Center. The game can be seen on www.bigtennetwork.com. The first three Pink Zone events have raised more than $80,000 for breast cancer awareness. This year's fundraising efforts will benefit the Mount Nittany Medical Center, Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute, Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition and the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund.
