The Penn State Lady Lions (15-10, 7-8) will look to snap their six-game slide when they host Michigan (14-10, 6-8) on Thursday at 6:30 p.m., at the Bryce Jordan Center. Penn State is also looking to avenge a 66-62 loss to the Wolverines two and a half weeks ago. It's beach day at the Bryce Jordan Center! Fans wearing a Hawaiian or beach shirt will receive a ticket for just $5.

TV/RADIO: The game will air live on the Big Ten Network with Tom Werme and Theresa Grentz calling the action. The game is on WRSC locally with Jerry Fisher and Ben Youngerman describing play. The audio feed is available at www.GoPSUsports.com.

LAST TIME OUT: The Lady Lions led by four points with just under eight minutes left, but only managed to score five points in the final 7:51 on the way to a 63-59 loss at Purdue Sunday. The Boilermakers scored nearly half of their points (29) from the free throw line, while the Lady Lions only made 14 shots from the charity stripe. Freshman Alex Bentley registered her third career 20-point effort with 20 tallies on 8-of-14 shooting. She also added four assists and three steals. Senior Tyra Grant accounted for 18 points, five rebounds, two steals and a block.

SCOUTING MICHIGAN: The Wolverines are 14-10 overall and 6-8 in Big Ten play. Veronica Hicks leads three players in double digits with a 13.2 scoring average. Carmen Reynolds is second on the squad in scoring at a 13.1 per game clip and knocks down a team-best 43.0% of her shots from three-point range. Dayeesha Hollins also averages double figures with a 12.3 average and dishes out a team-best 3.4 assists per game.

ALL-TIME VS. THE WOLVERINES: The Lady Lions are 24-9 all-time against the Wolverines, including a 12-2 mark at home. Penn State has not lost to Michigan at home since Feb. 25, 2001, a string of seven games. The Lady Lions dropped a 66-62 decision at Ann Arbor earlier this season despite 19 points from Tyra Grant and nine rebounds by Meredith Monroe.

LAST TIME VS. UM: The Lady Lions led by as many as 15 points in the first half, but a 15-2 run to start the second half gave Michigan momentum on the way to a 66-62 victory over the Lady Lions on Jan. 31. Senior Tyra Grant led all scorers with 19 points to go along with six rebounds, two blocks and two steals. Junior Julia Trogele added 11 points and seven rebounds, while senior Meredith Monroe added seven points, nine rebounds and two steals. Freshman Alex Bentley contributed eight points, five assists and two steals.

MILESTONE DAY: A pair of Lady Lions had milestone days at Purdue on Feb. 14. Freshman Alex Bentley reached the 300-point plateau and the 100-assist mark with 20 points and four assists against the Boilers. Junior Janessa Wolff surpassed 500 points and 400 rebounds with six tallies and three caroms versus Purdue.

ALEX 10TH ON FROSH SCORING LIST: Freshman Alex Bentley moved into the Top 10 on the freshman season scoring list with her 20-point performance at Purdue on Feb. 14. The rookie guard is tied with Jess Strom (2001-02) with 302 points in their first collegiate season. Bentley now sets her sights on Vanessa Paynter (324; 1983-84) for ninth place on the list.

NIKKI EYES SINGLE-SEASON BLOCKS CHART: Freshman Nikki Greene is looking to move into 10th on Penn State's single-season blocks list. The rookie had 47 blocks on the year and needs four rejections to move into a tie with Rashana Barnes for 10th place. Barnes had 51 blocks during the 1999-00 campaign.

BENTLEY ON DISH LIST: Point guard Alex Bentley is moving up the Penn State freshman season assists list. With four helpers against Purdue on Feb. 14, Bentley passed Tina Nicholson for eighth place on the rookie helpers chart. Bentley has 101 assists this year and is four helpers away from tying Chris Gulas (105; 1979-80) for seventh place in freshman history.

GREENE SCALES FRESHMAN REBOUNDING CHART: Center Nikki Green sits in seventh place on Penn State's freshman season rebounding list with 155 caroms this season. With 11 more boards, she will tie Andrea Garner (1996-97) for sixth place on the rookie chart.

The Lady Lions have a bye date this weekend before hosting Wisconsin in the regular-season home finale on Thursday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. It will be Senior Night for the Lady Lions as they honor Nicole Arcidiacono, Tyra Grant, Meredith Monroe and Meggan Quinn.
