Feb. 23, 2010

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.--The Penn State women's soccer team opens its spring exhibition schedule on Saturday against West Virginia at 5:30 p.m. in Holuba Hall. Immediately following the match, a free clinic, conducted by the PSU coaches and athletes, will be offered to children in attendance. There will also be a drawing for a free signed jersey.

Penn State, the 12-time reigning Big Ten Champions, host the Mountaineers in Holuba Hall for the first of six spring exhibition matches the Lions will play. A free clinic for children in kindergarten through eighth grade, lasting about an hour, will be hosted by Penn State head coach Erica Walsh and her accompanying staff immediately after the conclusion of the game. Team members will also be on hand to provide instruction.

At the end of the clinic, a drawing will be held to win a Penn State soccer jersey signed by the team and coaches. Those wishing to attend the clinic are advised to dress properly in athletic attire, bring a water bottle and a soccer ball.

Holuba Hall is located in the East Area of campus off McKean Road next to the Football Complex.
