WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Penn State freshman swimmer Amy Modglin (Fort Myers, Fla.) is set for the NCAA Championships beginning Thursday morning at Purdue University. Modglin qualified with the nation's eighth best time in the 200 backstroke (1:54.02) while she will also swim in the 200 and 400 IM. Competition will run Thursday, Friday and Saturday with Modglin swimming in one event each day.

Modglin led the Nittany Lions this season with nearly an "A" time in the 200 backstroke. Because she will swim in that event, she will also participate in the two other events in which she swam to "NCAA B" times - the 200 IM (2:01.51) and 400 IM (4:15.13).

Preliminaries kick off at 11 a.m. each day while finals start at 7 p.m. Modglin will swim in the 200 IM on Thursday, 400 IM on Friday and 200 backstroke on Saturday.

Live results and video will be available all weekend long through NCAA.com. ESPN360 will stream the finals on Saturday while ESPN2 will also air a 90-minute show at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Apr. 6.
