UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - One of the highlights of the Penn State sports calendar, Blue-White Weekend presented by AAA, gets underway Friday, April 23 with the Blue-White football game as the centerpiece for numerous activities throughout the weekend, including some new events, in and around Beaver Stadium.
Kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 24 in Beaver Stadium. As in previous years, there will be no admission or parking fee for the Blue-White game. Stadium parking lots will open at 8:00 a.m. and stadium Gates A, B, C and E will open for fans at 12:00 p.m. The popular autograph session with football student-athletes is from 12:30-1:15 p.m. on the field.
Numerous events will be held during Blue-White Weekend to celebrate Penn State Football, including two new events, a Penn State Idol contest (finals Friday, 7:00 p.m.) and a parade on Curtin Road featuring six high school bands (Saturday, 11:00 a.m.)
A carnival, children's games, food vendors and the student entertainment stage will be open Friday from 6:00-10:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. The WTAJ-TV Wing Fest is set for Friday at 6:00 p.m. with fireworks at 9:00 p.m.
On Saturday, the student stage gets busy at 10:00 a.m. and JR and Natalie will be the final act on stage at 4:30 p.m.
The Blue-White Game will air on ESPN2, the Penn State Sports Network and www.GoPSUsports.com. The contest also will air on the Big Ten Network Saturday at 5:00 p.m.

6:00-9:00 p.m. - Wing Fest presented by WTAJ-TV
7:00 p.m. - Penn State Idol finals
9:00 p.m. - Fireworks
Saturday, April 24
7:30 a.m. - Men's golf hosts Rutherford Intercollegiate (Blue Course)
8:00 a.m. - Parking lots open near Beaver Stadium
10:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. - Carnival and food
10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. - Booths with prizes
10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. - Student acts at stage
11:00 a.m. - Blue-White Parade, featuring high school bands
11:00 a.m. - Women's tennis vs. Northwestern
12:30 p.m. - Football autograph session in Beaver Stadium
12:45 p.m. - Lionettes Dance Team on stage
1:00 p.m. - Softball vs. Iowa
