The Nittany Lions Travel to Ohio State for Kepler Intercollegiate

University Park, Pa. - Coming off a third-place finish at the Spring Break Championships, the Penn State men's golf team will travel to Columbus, Ohio for the 41st edition of the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate. The Ohio State Buckeyes will host the two-day, 54-hole tournament Saturday, April 10 through Sunday, April 11.

The 7,451-yard, par-72 Scarlet Course at the Ohio State University golf club will be the site of the 11-team field clash. Among the teams, Charlotte (42) and Kent State (48) are the topped ranked followed by Eastern Michigan (65), Penn State (77), Oklahoma (82), and Ohio State (85). Returning tournament champion, Northwestern, is joined by Houston, Kent State, Wisconsin, and Xavier to round out the competition.

Senior Kevin Foley (Somerville, N.J.) is currently ranked No. 80 in the country aiding the Nittany Lions to a No. 77 position in the Golfweek Polls. This weekend marks Foley's fourth appearance at the Kepler Intercollegiate tournament as he has participated since his freshman start.

Senior T.J. Howe (Osceola, Pa.) will join Foley in returning to the links as he makes his third and final appearance at the Kepler. Joining them to compete for Penn State are Jim Markovitz (Bridgeville, Pa.), Tommy McDonagh (East Norwalk, Conn.), and Ernesto Marin (Miami, Fla.). Jason Cohan (Wayne, Pa.) will also be making the trip to compete as an individual. Cohan's score will not be averaged in with the team score.

Saturday will host the first and second rounds with a shotgun start beginning at 8:30 a.m. The final round, played on Sunday, will have players tee off nos. 1 and 10 beginning at 8:30 a.m.
